Childrens Ministry Team
The Childrens Ministry Team is a group of dedicated people drawn from both congregations with a heart for the young people in our communities and who want to see them given every opportunity to experience new things. Click a link on the right for information on specific groups.
The Team believe that there is more to life than standing around on street corners and getting into trouble and we want our young people to enjoy life in all its fullness, just like Jesus said.
The groups are not 'church of scotland' groups in the sense that they are churning out little 'religious spirits' to swell the numbers of the c of s. They exist to introduce the children to Jesus Christ so that they may, or may not, join a church (of any denomination) later in life.
We are always looking for people to help with our groups and experience is not necessary as on the job training will be given. The only qualifications required are enthusiasm and a desire to see young folk given the opportunity to respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
There are a number of ways of serving the Lord on the Team. We need: Door keepers, juice makers, tidy uppers, group helpers and group leaders, etc.
