Bendochy Parish Church
Bendochy was once a thriving farming community on the north side of the River Isla between Blairgowrie and Coupar Angus. Latterly it is still a thriving community, but less to do with farming as more of the settlements become family homes. The congregation is small by some standards, around 98, but we will regularly see 35-45 of our members every week.
The parish itself borders Coupar Angus, Alyth, Bridge of Cally, Rattray and Blairgowrie.
It is a gathered congregation everyone works hard to make sure that visitors receive a warm and friendly welcome and there are things to get involved in. Bendochy Ladies Group enjoy regular meetings with varied and interesting speakers and have activities throughout the year; although there is no Sunday School in Bendochy members have joined forces with Coupar Angus Abbey to provide a busy and very active childrens ministry within Coupar Angus itself.
Bendochy wholeheartedly supports the bus project, raising funds to help with the running costs.
Various activites and events are held by members of Bendochy Church throughout the year with the emphasis on the social rather than specifically 'fund raisiing' though, if these events do raise a bit of money, then that's good too.
Visitors to the area who would like to worship with us will be welcome at any of our services:
10.00am each Sunday in Bendochy Church
Join us for coffee after the service on the 1st Sunday of each month.
The sacrament of Communion is celebrated on the second last Sunday in April and October.
Bendochy Parish Church of Scotland is a registered Scottish Charity: SC004358
